Sr. Data Center Technician
Locations: Alton – TX, USA (onsite)
We are looking for Sr. Data Center Technician for an immediate need. This is an onsite position and candidate are expected to work from office.

Overview
We are looking for a Sr. Onsite Hardware Technician with graduate level experience looking to apply their technical skills in a fast-paced and complex environment. A working knowledge of server hardware and the desire to participate in projects at a large-scale data center is central to this role. This position will work to resolve and diagnose compute issues at scale, escalate issues, and work with remote engineering teams. Additionally, this role will support rack lifecycle processes with a focus on helping build out and support cloud scale compute and storage environments. Solid communication skills are a requirement for this role. This person should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and flexibility will be key to their success.
Responsibilities
● Monitoring and performing on-going maintenance on servers and network equipment including hardware troubleshooting and replacement of hardware components.
● Providing IT support to staff and customers, as well as responding to the server and network hardware issues.
● Running complex hardware diagnostics and replacing failing parts in a timely manner.
● Collaborating with software and network engineering teams on overall high-performance computing cluster health
● Upgrading internal system components, including CPUs, memory, hard drives, and network cables.
● Works within the client ticketing system for all hardware related high performance computing cluster observations.
● Coordinate with logistics / inventory management team for hardware removal of components from the high-performance computing cluster.
● Guide Jr. Onsite Hardware Technicians on ticket resolution and complex observations with the high-performance computing cluster.
● Support with root cause analysis and continued improvement.
Qualifications:
● CompTIA ServerPlus, CompTIA Network, or CCNP certification would be a plus
● 5+ years of experience as a data center technician, or similar.
Skills:
● In-depth knowledge of data center environments, servers, and network equipment.
● Extensive expertise in installing, monitoring, and maintaining data center equipment.
● Exceptional ability to work as part of a team, provide IT support, and resolve errors.
● Ability to keep up with advancements in data center infrastructure and technologies.
● Proficiency in documenting network processes through in collaboration with other stake holders.
● Exceptional communication skills.
● Willingness to respond to network and server errors after hours.
● Collaborate with other 3rd party partners in support of the overall high-performance cluster health.
● Participate in weekly on call rotation.
