Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary
A Business Systems Analyst is responsible for using their knowledge of software programs and business strategies to help companies maximize productivity and communication. The candidate will be accountable, including talking with management to determine their needs, coordinating with IT professionals to create or update software based on those needs, and training employees to use the software effectively in their daily jobs.
Responsibilities:
·Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge.
·Work directly with the product owner to understand the business's individual needs.
·Use various data analysis and organization tools to discover the most impactful insights.
·Create and present reports to executive team members and shareholders to support recommendations.
·Collaborate with content creators, product teams, and others to ensure the goals and user needs.
·Create and deliver the mapping document and system documents to the internal project team.
·A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
·Experience working in Gen AI projects is mandatory
·Convert roadmap features into smaller user stories
·Write clear and well-structured business requirements/documents
·Business communication, understanding the technical design and business requirements.
·Agile practices and experience with data and analytics assignments.
·Better to have basic data base, sql experience
·Communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders; Author and update internal and external documentation.
·Experience in working on data warehousing/data lake/data pipeline related projects would be a great advantage
·Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports
·Serving as a liaison between stakeholders
·Excellent documentation skills.
·Strong Competency in tools like JIRA, Confluence,Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Required Skills:
·8+ years of human resources domain experience and/or related project experience.
·5+ years of requirement gathering experience and creating the team's business or technical requirement document.
·Serve as thought leader for technical business processes, developing systems prototypes that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple levels.
·Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights.
·Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
·Strong business and technical skills to support the technical team and answer any questions they come up with.
·Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred:
·Project management skills are a plus for this role.
·Ability to creatively approach and solve situations.
·Two or more years with modern data engineering with APIs
·Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science
·High proficiency in technical writing
·Proven ability to manage projects and user testing.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $160,000 USD – $170,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
