The Emergency Room Assistant Manager will report directly to the Nurse Manager of Emergency Services. This person will feel supported by their Manager and the Director of Emergency Services, and will lead a fantastic team of ED RNs. The Emergency Room Assistant Manager will lead efficient patient care throughout all of the emergency department. This involves keeping staff up to date with current best practices and making sure they are following guidelines set by the hospital. In addition, the position requires collaboration with physicians and managers in regards to operational issues and addressing problems with staffing and equipment as they occur while the Emergency Room Assistant Manager is supervising. The Emergency Room Assistant Manager will also be expected to develop their staff through education and quality improvement initiatives.
