We are actively looking for a Med Surg Nurse Coordinator to lead a Medical Surgical unit in a fantastic acute care hospital in Southeast Virginia. The Nurse Coordinator Med Surg will oversee and care for patients on a 20+ bed Med Surg unit that cares for patients typically post general, vascular, plastic, gyn, and urology surgery. This unit also takes some ortho surgery overflow patients and all rooms are private rooms.
The RN Coordinator Med Surg will function as a unit Charge Nurse, caring for patient each shift, helping with shift scheduling, and serving as a resource nurse during shifts. The RN Coordinator Medical Surgical will report to the Nurse Manager Medical Surgical and will collaborate with unit leadership and physicians.
