We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse Director of Nursing to join a small hospital nestled in the heart of Eastern Oregon. The Director of Nursing will play a pivotal role in overseeing the clinical operations of this hospital, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in a supportive and compassionate environment.
Leading a small yet close-knit team of clinicians, the Director of Nursing will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the nursing staff. This includes providing guidance, support, and mentorship to the clinical team of two Registered Nurses and two Certified Nursing Assistants per shift. The RN Director’s leadership will be instrumental in fostering a collaborative and cohesive work environment where each team member feels valued and empowered to perform at their best.
With an average daily census of 11 patients and an Emergency Department that sees three patients per day, the acute care Clinical Nurse Director will oversee the nursing care provided across various departments within the hospital. The Nurse’s ability to effectively manage resources, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing circumstances will be essential in ensuring optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.
The Clinical Nursing Director will also be responsible for implementing and enforcing nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care in accordance with regulatory guidelines and best practices. Strong communication skills and attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining compliance and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
The Critical Access Hospital Director of Nursing will collaborate closely with other department heads and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care delivery and operational efficiency. Innovative thinking and proactive approach to problem-solving will be key assets in driving positive change within the organization.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) and hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon. Previous experience in a leadership or management role within a healthcare setting, preferably in a critical access hospital or similar environment, is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to excellence in patient care.
