Reporting to the Service Manager Medical Surgical Services, the Charge Nurse General Medical Surgical will oversee day-to-day operations of the unit, act as the department resource, support the nurse educators with new-hire training, cross collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure policy and procedures are upheld while also providing exceptional direct patient care. The Charge Nurse General Medical Surgical will be supported by a team of nurses, technicians, medical assistants and other ancillary staff. 

Ideally the Charge Nurse General Medical Surgical will have graduated from an accredited school of nursing, hold an active RN license, and have a recent clinical background working at an acute care hospital in a medical surgical unit, step down, progressive care, or critical care unit.
