Reporting to the Director of Nursing and Professional Development, the Nursing Education Coordinator will be responsible for creating new curriculum, updating policy procedures, assisting with the Education department’s day to day operations, and acting as a mentor and resource for the hospital’s Nurse Educators, leadership team, and staff RN across all inpatient units. With state-of-the-art equipment used throughout the hospital, the Nursing Education Coordinator will be up-to-date utilizing both advanced technology and evidence based practice. The Nursing Education Coordinator should also be familiar with using electronic medical records EMR, using Microsoft Programs, and confidently presenting to large groups.
The Nursing Education Coordinator should have previous nursing education, operations, or leadership experience, along with a clinical background ideally over multiple different inpatient specialties. The Nursing Education Coordinator should be master's prepared holding an active RN license (or ability to obtain their state nursing license prior to starting).
