Clean Harbors is seeking a Branch Manager for its Remediation group. The Branch Manager is primarily responsible for managing safety; P&L’s for the Branch; managing a multi-million dollar inventory of equipment and materials; and providing technical and financial oversight for large water and air remediation projects. The Branch Manager is directly involved in supporting Project Managers with quoting projects and preparing proposals then ensuring contracts are in place for all projects. The Branch Manager will work closely with Senior Management to ensure that the right equipment and personnel are deployed to projects.
This position will be based in Kalkaska, MI but will require travel to job sites as needed or to meet with various team members as well as clients.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times; Contribute to, foster and guide the foundation/direction of our health and safety program;
- Leads a team comprised of project managers, supervisors, environmental technicians and other professionals;
- Work with a customer base across several lines of business, including regulatory, government and military;
- Collaborate with other industry professionals across our Sales, Landfill, Incineration, Transportation, TSDF and other local office network leveraging the companies turn-key approach to projects and customer service;
- Provides technical support to Clean Harbors field service offices;
- Travel as needed to new locations to meet customers and field personnel/see projects in action;
- Work with support from administrators, senior managers and other support personnel;
- Provides timely, concise and relevant information to superiors and subordinates;
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.
- Bachelor’s degree in related science preferred or 10+ years of experience in water and air treatment/remediation industry preferred;
- Successful financial management of projects exceeding $3M in value and an organizational profit/loss statement exceeding $20M annually, including budgeting and change management;
- Experienced team leader who develops high performers and fosters engagement, loyalty and a winning culture with safety at its core;
- Strong environmental remediation background and experience;
- Computer literate and fully proficient in Windows-based business software including Word and Excel;
- Excellent, concise verbal and written communication skills. Ability to speak and present to groups;
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Strong customer management skills;
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Knowledge of Federal and State regulations governing remedial sites;
- Ability to travel.
