Clean Harbors is looking for a Vice President Line of Business - Technical Services to join our safety conscious team! The VP will be responsible for the achievement of targeted revenue growth for the line of business, as assigned. Serves as subject matter expert relative to operational and technical approaches for packaging, handling, and transporting large volumes of waste long distances into plants using multiple modes of transportation. Maintains strong understanding of logistical issues and operations, cost designs and build-ups, and plant capabilities and regulatory issues for moving large volume waste streams into plants.

- Program oversight for revenue quality and margin performance of the line of business as assigned.
- Analyze ongoing business for gaps, deficiencies, and opportunities to improve revenue opportunities. Review competitive trends, markets trends, quoting trends vs the market, contractual review, etc. Ultimately responsible for growth trends and improvement of the respective LOB.
- Work closely with and provide oversight of the LOB Sales Specialist where each individual specialist will have budgeted goals and expectations for strategic growth.
- Responsible for development of technical work and means of operational approach on all Waste Project opportunities and project performances. Identifying and defining the WP work that must be performed to deliver the service or result with the specified features and functions.
- Assist all sales units by providing expert resources as the “Subject Matter Expert" and the go to person for the Retail business line. Principle writer for technical presentations, etc.
- Responsible for working with the facility operations in understanding both immediate and future plant disposal needs. Develop timely internal and external programs to meet the consistently changing needs of the plants. Consistently managing plant volume requirements and capacities.
- Responsible for Proforma development and competitive analysis, estimates budgeting, cost or value analysis, decision making, asset and project planning, project cost and schedule control process. Proforma cost estimates are determined utilizing experience, calculating, and forecasting the future costs of resources, methods, and management within a scheduled time frame.
- Conduct regular customer reviews for account development and activity with direct reports. Maintain daily awareness of field, sales, vendor, and plants activities and results.
- Promote communication and coordination between sales and operations. Customer service and customers. Assure that the customer’s needs are met.
- As a senior member of the Line of Business management team, perform complex and sensitive assignments from the SVP Sales/Line of Business and/or the EVP, Business Line Management.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related is required.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to translate financial and statistical data into understandable terms for line managers.
- Ability to organize action items into ongoing and sustainable programs.
- Strong mechanical and technical attitude critical.
- Military, governmental or institutional experience is beneficial.
- Ability to travel 50%.
