Developers may be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle (SDLC). Developers may develop and review requirements, create design documents, write programs, package, test, configure and deploy software. Developers also participate and collaborate with other stakeholder including security, quality assurance, training, project management, engineering, hosting, & procurement when required to assist in other aspects of their projects. Developers at organization are expected to be results-oriented, have knowledge of new and legacy technologies, have knowledge of the relevant platforms and environments, and be familiar with business process, functions and data within their domain to provide innovative, insightful, and secure solutions. This position requires in-depth knowledge and experience. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Here's what you can expect on a typical day:
- Agile. You'll start each day with a scrum, working in a team to understand responsibilities, identify issues, and communicate coding priorities while choosing user stories to complete. You will also participate in other agile ceremonies, including scheduled sprint demos, where you will present your work to up to 90 stakeholders.
- Development. Working in three-week sprints, you must keep up with timelines and coding standards. Most of your daily schedule will be software development, but you will also test your code before submitting it to QA for final testing. You won't just focus on development in this role. You will also be responsible for testing and deployment.
- Continuous Learning. You will attend "lunch and learn" sessions to actively collaborate with other developers to share ideas or show what you've learned. An eagerness to learn will help you keep up with ever-changing technologies and maintain the ability to create the best tools for our clients.
- Support. You're working on products currently in use. You will act as a point of contact for one day/week, supporting your clients for any urgent issues that require resolution. You'll start those days with your regular work activity but will have to switch gears to a support role as needed throughout your assigned support day.
- Experience. You have 5-8 years of experience using front-end technologies such as Node.js, REST, JSON. ReactJS, Webpack and Typescrip.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Minimum 5 years working experience with Node.js, REST and JSON
- Minimum 5 years working experience with ReactJS, Webpack and Typescript
- Strong understanding of object oriented design and MVC patterns
- Hands-on experience developing Web applications
- Advanced or Fluent English skills (medium to high capacity to interact with other teams)
BONUS POINTS FOR THESE:
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores, i.e. GraphQL, MySQL and Redis
- Experience with Golang
- Experience with cloud providers, mostly AWS
- Programming skills in other languages such as Java, PHP, or Python
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is desired
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Desired BA/BS degree or equivalent in education and experience.
Experience: Desired a strong experience in equivalent or similar area.
Fuctional Knowledge: Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
Business Expertise: Knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competitions and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
Leadership: Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.
Problem Solving: Be able to solve complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
Interpersonal Skills: Communication - Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus.
