SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Position Summary: This position is responsible for coordinating administrative, business and other operational activities such as, but not limited to, HR, payroll, A/P, scheduling direct service staff and resolving client issues in conjunction with the Agency Director. The Service Coordinator ensures that all clients receive the best service possible and according to the care plan. Some travel required between Kent and Sussex County
Essential Duties:
- Identify and correct problems relating to scheduling fills, cancelations, scheduling conflicts, and EMR errors/fixes with guidance from Operations manager
- Manage appointment cancellations and arrange for substitute coverage and/or make up sessions according to the Scheduling Guidelines
- Provide patient scheduling updates utilizing email or instant communication
- Collaborate with teammates and communicating properly within the scheduling team
- Take initiative to identify client demands, scheduling roadblocks and communicating the findings to through the existing line of communication and authority
- Practice knowledge of HIPAA policies and guidelines while communicating client matters
- Set priorities, manage time effectively and meet deadlines assigned by the Operations manager
- Staff caregivers to assigned patients using our software-based system
- Document all notes and tasks in the system accurately and timely
- Verify attendance with both patient and caregiver
- Report and document any incidents /complaints/ concerns to Management
- Proactively resolve, manage, communicate, and address matters related to patients and/or caregivers
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Position Requirements & Competencies:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred additional education such as a diploma from an accredited vocational school or college
- Must have three to five years of recent experience working in a healthcare environment or related field
- Understanding of basic medical terminology
- Interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Scheduling program
- May have to travel between facilities occasionally (Kent and Sussex County)
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver license, and state required insurance
