The Opportunity
This role is in our Scarborough, Maine location. Leads, designs, conducts technical projects; provides technical leadership within various technical disciplines.
What You’ll Work On
Technical subject matter expert; point of authority on technical investigation methods and procedures.
Regularly conduct work requiring an in-depth understanding of specialized techniques and ingenuity in selecting and evaluating approaches to novel problems. Apply an analytical approach to the solution of a wide variety of problems.
Lead CAPA root cause investigations using standard investigational techniques, action implementation and effectiveness checks.
Lead design changes starting from design input, identification of critical process parameters, characterization, verification and validation studies, specification setting, protocols/reports and DMR updates. Authors study protocols and reports.
Support technical resolution and review of vendor specifications, change notifications, and in the qualification of alternate vendors
Design, execute, and lead others to complete experiments related to the development and implementation of robust manufacturing processes and applies statistical analytical techniques to investigate on-market product performance issues and investigations.
Identify and champion technical strategic projects. Establish project charter and lead from planning to implementation.
Present findings to peers and upper-level management and maintains detailed timelines to ensure task completion.
Provide coaching/mentoring to junior personnel.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related technical field.
Minimum 10 + years of progressively responsible positions in a research development environment.
Very likely to have advanced degrees M.S or PhD
Practical Lab Skills with increasing knowledge complexity with experience
More advanced Problem –solving skills with experience.
Has good knowledge of science and the ability to apply more complex and advanced principles and techniques with experience.
Accountability/ Scope: Contributes to project plan. Responsible for more complex project completion. May be called on a SME for projects across Division
Preferred
Expertise in statistical data analysis, JMP, SPC and DOE methodology
PhD preferred.
Expertise in PCR based molecular technologies, sequencing, cell culture, purification, and analytical techniques.
Experience with standard analytical techniques including HPLC, FPLC, UV-Vis spectroscopy, mass spectroscopy, gel electrophoresis, solid phase DNA/RNA synthesis, solid phase peptide synthesis.
Prior experience in aspects of molecular diagnostics, immunoassays, ELISA-based assays, and/or immunochromatographic devices

The base pay for this position is $95,000.00 – $190,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
