Supplier Quality Manager to join our team. In this role, you will manage the administration of departmental activities of Supplier Quality Assurance while maintaining compliance to, and driving continuous improvement of, related quality assurance programs, policies, process, procedures and controls. This role will manage the Supplier Quality Engineering operations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Vision and Objectives:Define and communicate the overall vision and cascaded objectives for the departments.
- Team Management:Staff, train, develop, and manage employees.
- Resource Management:Assess and manage all resource needs within the department.
- Supplier Quality Engineering:Oversee all activities related to Supplier Quality Engineering, including supplier selection and evaluation, material qualification, inspection procedure development, supplier corrective action, supplier assessments, supplier performance reviews, and supplier development.
- Continuous Improvement:Lead employees in driving continuous improvement in department processes and establishing departmental objectives to meet divisional goals.
- Budget Management:Develop and maintain department operating budgets. Manage expenses within budget while meeting established objectives.
- Inspection Equipment:Define, justify, acquire, and implement inspection test equipment to meet specified needs.
- Employee Deployment:Re-deploy employees as priorities change to meet Division objectives.
- Policy Development:Develop, train, implement, and continuously improve department policies and procedures.
- Compliance:Ensure departmental compliance with Division SOPs and procedures.
- Product/Process Changes:Ensure timely and thorough review of product/process changes.
- Communication:Provide routine communications with department employees to ensure awareness.
- Performance Evaluations:Provide timely performance and developmental evaluations of departmental staff.
- Skill Development:Assess and develop employee skillsets to ensure effective support.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:Work cross-functionally to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Reporting:Provide routine department objectives and performance metrics reporting to management as defined.
- Staffing:Hire and retain a diverse, highly qualified staff and provide ongoing performance feedback. Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
- Regulatory Compliance:Comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
REQUIRED
- Bachelor's Degree in a Biology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or other related technical field.
- 5+ years’ experience as a supervisor or manager.
- 5+ years Quality Assurance experience in an FDA/ISO certified environment.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and enable department employees in meeting objectives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in departmental budgeting and supervision/training/managing staff.
- Experience with computers and software application knowledge consistent with engineering environments.
- Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model preferred.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.
- Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
- Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
- Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable.
- Ability to travel approximately 5-25%, including internationally.

The base pay for this position is $95,000.00 – $190,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
