As a Technical Lead - Backend Java Software Development Engineer, you’ll lead the delivery and ongoing support of projects from end to end. In addition, you will:
Contribute to the design of new features.
Review the code of your peers
Advocate for standard methodologies
Facilitate engineering discussions
Mentor junior engineers
Participate in an inclusive, energetic and highly multi-functional team
This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any part of Mexico, but preferably in Mexico City, as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.
In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Brings over 5 years of software development experience, specializing in Java for backend services.
Is a respected technical leader, having made a significant impact beyond their immediate team.
Has expertise in various persistence strategies, encompassing relational and non-relational databases.
Is fluent in both English and Spanish, both written and spoken and is authorized to work in Mexico.
Demonstrates mastery across multiple modern Java development technologies, adept at designing, delivering, debugging, and maintaining backend systems.
Possesses proficiency in related technologies such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Microservices architecture.
Is passionate about establishing standard methodologies, elevating systems design, enhancing code quality, and ensuring maintainability – not just within the team but across the entire engineering organization.
