About the role

About The Role
A Principal Product Designer within the Agent Experience Agent/Operator Platform team, is a design leader responsible for uncovering customer insights, developing design strategy and vision, and leading product teams to deliver outstanding customer experiences. As a design leader, you develop positive relationships, provide mentorship to other designers, and work with others to elevate design quality. Our mission is to make Zillow the most-loved place to discover, buy, sell, or rent a home.

You Will Get To: 

• Design digital experiences for web, iOS, Android, and operator platforms

• Advocate for customer needs and ensure that designs address customer goals

• Work with product managers, researchers, content designers, and engineers

• Lead design activities like problem definition, storytelling, journey mapping, co-design sessions, prototyping, design critique, and user testing

• Propose, test, and evaluate ideas that improve Zillow customer experiences

• Build detailed information architecture, interaction models, and UI patterns

• Present design work and regularly engage with partners for feedback

• Lead multiple projects independently and deliver high-quality work on time

• Partner with other designers to ensure design consistency and excellence

• Share expertise and mentorship to help others develop skills

• Contribute, learn, grow, and have fun!

Un Diseñador de Producto Principal dentro del equipo de la Plataforma de Experiencia del Agente/Operador, es un líder de diseño responsable de descubrir los puntos de vista del cliente, desarrollar la estrategia y la visión del diseño, y liderar los equipos de producto para ofrecer experiencias de cliente excepcionales. Como líder de diseño, desarrollarás relaciones positivas, proporcionarás tutoría a otros diseñadores y trabajarás con otros para elevar la calidad del diseño. Nuestra misión es hacer de Zillow el lugar más querido para descubrir, comprar, vender o alquilar una casa.

Conseguirás: 

• Diseñar experiencias digitales para plataformas web, iOS, Android y operadores.

• Defender las necesidades de los clientes y garantizar que los diseños aborden sus objetivos

• Trabajar con jefes de producto, investigadores, diseñadores de contenidos e ingenieros

• Dirigir actividades de diseño como definición de problemas, narración de historias, mapeo de viajes, sesiones de codiseño, creación de prototipos, crítica de diseño y pruebas de usuario

• Proponer, probar y evaluar ideas que mejoren las experiencias de los clientes de Zillow.

• Construir una arquitectura de información detallada, modelos de interacción y patrones de interfaz de usuario.

• Presentar el trabajo de diseño y comprometerse regularmente con los socios para obtener retroalimentación

• Dirigir múltiples proyectos de forma independiente y entregar trabajo de alta calidad a tiempo

• Colaborar con otros diseñadores para garantizar la coherencia y la excelencia del diseño

• Compartir experiencia y tutoría para ayudar a otros a desarrollar sus habilidades

• Contribuir, aprender, crecer y divertirse.

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any part of Mexico, but preferably in Mexico City, as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Who you are

• 7-10 years as a product designer, user experience designer, design lead, or similar role

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Experience building relationships and working optimally with diverse, cross-functional teams

• Experience developing tools and frameworks to help teams work better together

• Experience providing direction that helps designers grow their skills and deliver their best work

• Experience identifying customer insights through user research and discovery activities

• Experience developing design strategies that address customer and business problems

• Experience crafting products and services using human-centered design principles

• Experience shipping products that get meaningful results for customers and businesses

• Experience making effective decisions and managing design project work
