Position Summary...
What you'll do...The Stores Systems team at Walmart is looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Automation to join our team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building and driving test automation for mobile apps, data, and ensuring all quality related aspects are implemented as part of CICD.
What You'll Do:
- Build and maintain test automation for APIs and mobile apps on Android/iOS platforms
- Build and enhance CICD pipeline to include a high degree of test automation
- Work with other members of the team to ensure that the code is tested thoroughly and that any issues are identified and resolved quickly. You will need to be an effective collaborator who is able to work with others to achieve common goals.
What You'll Bring:
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in building test automation and frameworks.
- Experience using any of the automation toolset like TestNG Framework, Cucumber, Postman, JMeter, Rest Assured, Gatling, etc. and CI/CD tools like docker, Jenkins, etc. or equivalent tools.
- Development experience in at least one programming language like Java, C# etc.
- Hands-on experience in Springboot, Microservices Architecture, SQL, Jenkins, Git, Gherkin, Wiremock (for stubbing API endpoints).
- Strong understanding of quality, testing principles, and writing effective test cases.
- Experience in setting up CICD pipelines with a high degree of test automation.
- Exposure to performance testing shall be a big plus.
- Be a curious and quick learner. You will need to stay up to date with the latest testing techniques and technologies and be willing to learn new things
- Exposure to performance testing will be an added advantage. You will be responsible for ensuring that the mobile apps are tested for performance and that they are able to handle large amounts of traffic without crashing or slowing down.
