Speech Language Fellow
Location: UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies Main Hosp, US:CO: Loveland
Department: MCR Speech Path
FTE: Part Time, 0.6, 48.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $36.19 - $54.28 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:Evaluates and treats patient populations for therapy needs.
Responsibilities:
- Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
- Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.
- Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
- Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting. Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- CO State provisional licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- 2 months of related experience in an acute care setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
