Senior Pharmacy Director, Hospital Inpatient OperationsSummary:The Senior Pharmacy Director, Hospital Inpatient Operations, is a key pharmacy leader for UCHealth, providing support and oversight for inpatient pharmacy operations across all hospital locations and providing oversight of regional hospital pharmacy directors.Responsibilities:
- Participates in planning, implementation, development and leading the execution of hospital inpatient pharmacy programs, services, and business offerings across UCHealth.
- Collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive the provision of contemporary pharmacy business operations and innovative clinical models of care.
- Manages complex interdepartmental and interdisciplinary relationships to assure collaboration and effective/efficient operations within acute care pharmacy services.
- Proactively engages with internal stakeholders, physicians, and other partners to drive growth and achieve clinical, operational, and financial objectives.
- Supports the enterprise-wide deployment and performance improvement of pharmacy programs in alignment with the UCHealth pharmacy strategic plan for acute care operations and financial performance, business optimization and pharmacy technology.
- Assists the CPO, VP of Pharmacy with the development and implementation of pharmacy strategic initiatives which are designed to optimize patient care, enhance financial performance, and drive a high value pharmacy enterprise.
- Leads the execution of the hospital pharmacy services strategic and operating plans.
- Identifies and participates in the development of business cases to support advancement of pharmacy practice.
- Leads performance for pharmacy monitoring metrics that track pharmacy quality/safety, operational efficiency, clinical effectiveness, and financial performance.
- Partners with hospital stakeholders on safety best practices for patients, team members and providers.
- Provides leadership and direction to Directors of Pharmacy and pharmacy team members, creating development opportunities and succession planning for pharmacy teams.
- Oversees hospital inpatient medication management regulatory compliance, including Joint Commission, State Board of Pharmacy, CMS, HRSA 340B, and USP 797/800 regulations.
- Proactively supports site leaders in workforce development and employee engagement.
Requirements:
- Minimum Required Education: Doctor of Pharmacy degree
- Preferred: Master's degree, ASHP residency in hospital pharmacy
- Required Licensure/Certification: Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Colorado.
- Minimum Experience: 5 years hospital pharmacy leadership experience with increasing levels of responsibility. Preferred: Strategic leadership experience in a hospital pharmacy environment.
The pay range for this position is: $84.28 - $134.84 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.UCHealth offers their employees a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package:
