As a Program Owner – Energy Rate Optimization on our Energy & Sustainability Team, you’ll driveoptimization of Target’s Energy Rates and overall energy expense. As an Energy Rate Analyst, you will analyze energy usage data, utility bills, and rate structures to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies. You will evaluate energy rate options and tariffs to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. You will support the energy procurement program. You will assist in developing energy usage forecasts and financial models to support strategic decision-making and budgeting. You will actively seek opportunities to streamline processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve the overall efficiency of energy rate analysis operations. You will support the analysis of renewable energy projects and technologies as part of Target’s goal of reaching 100% renewable energy by 2030. Job duties may change due to business needs.
About you:
Bachelor’s Degree, BA/BS in economics, finance, mathematics, engineering, sustainability or related field
Minimum 2 years business experience
Strong analytical, financial and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Excel or other data analysis tools.
Knowledge of energy markets, rate structures, and regulatory frameworks is preferred but not required.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely.
Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and technologies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and resolve conflicts in a collaborative manner.
