What we need

We are looking for an IT Systems Architect to join our IT Operations team. Your job will be to lead IT Architecture covering all aspects from design, deployment, and operations, developing an architecture framework covering networking, compute & storage systems to govern the technology life cycle across Symbotic product development as well as corporate information systems.

What we do

The IT Operations team is responsible for supporting corporate and customer sites 24x7x365. IT Operations will support both internal and external clients to acknowledge and assess IT infrastructure related issues and alerts. We develop comprehensive IT architecture strategies and solutions for robust, resilient, and reliable operations throughout the systems lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Lead the Architecture Framework development for networks, compute and storage for both on-premises and cloud/hybrid technologies to establish design, operation & support principles.
• Establish an Architecture Review Board partnering with other technology leaders and stakeholders to develop processes to govern the development/enhancements of new/existing solutions that adhere to company's design, operation, and support principles.
• Drive integrated strategies to develop solutions that align with organizational roadmaps.
• Create and update rolling 12-24 months technical roadmap.
• System Architecture Design: Develop and maintain the organization's information systems architecture, including hardware, software, networks, databases, and security systems. Design scalable and robust solutions that align with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in designing and implementing complex information systems architecture.
• Strong understanding of enterprise-level IT infrastructure components, including hardware, software, networks, databases, and security systems.
• Proficiency in system design methodologies, such as Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) or Microservices Architecture.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and knowledge of related services.
• Extensive project experience migrating from legacy systems and deploying complex cloud-based solutions.
