What We NeedWe are seeking a Manager of Software Quality Assuran & Test - Robotics to spearhead Software Testing for our key strategic initiatives. This role is pivotal in shaping and driving our quality assurance strategy across various projects and teams. You'll be responsible for crafting and overseeing the implementation of robust quality standards, methodologies, and tools to ensure the highest quality of our strategic products. You will possess a solid foundation in software testing practices, exceptional program management abilities, and strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with development, system testing, and automation teams.

What You'll Do
- Develop and document test strategies for complex multi-system projects.
- Break down the test plan into subsystems and timelines, creating a plan for testing, managing execution, and reporting on the test process.
- Manage and track test activities at all stages, from functional testing to full end-to-end system testing, ensuring all solution elements work together seamlessly.
- Maintain a deep understanding of all elements of the Symbotic solution being tested to analyze, advise, and communicate risks and impacts to new and existing products and services. Provide input into mitigation plans as necessary.
- Coordinate with Development, Test, and Automation teams to ensure that real code and tools such as emulators are available at the appropriate time for testing.
- Assess impacts to the overall test schedule as findings occur and require resolution.
- Feed appropriate test results back to engineering teams to resolve identified issues.
- Work with urgency to ensure all teams have the information needed to keep the overall program on track.
- Evaluate, analyze, and report on the quality of strategic projects.
- Create a strategic vision, and direct quality assurance policies, programs, and initiatives.
- Develop, implement, enforce, and improve upon quality standards, tools, and methodologies.
- Engage in the overall Project Lifecycle Methodology to ensure appropriate data quality and testing considerations are part of the process.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience as a quality assurance leader, working on complex hardware and software products.
- Experience in Logistics and Warehouse automation is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability in the creation of quality standards, tools, and methodologies.
- Extensive familiarity with quality assurance processes and procedures, and the ability to devise methods to enforce quality standards.
- Experience planning and executing end-to-end testing of integrated systems, including validation of the integration layer.
- Experience working with SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Expertise in performing different types of testing: Black Box, GUI, Integration, Regression, Backend, System, End-to-End, and User Acceptance Testing.
- Experience writing and executing basic SQL query commands.
- Experience with Service Oriented Architecture and developing/testing SOA software systems deployed to a production environment.
- Experience in configuring and testing messaging services, especially RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AMQP.
- Experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, etc.), CI/CD pipelines (GIT, Jenkins, etc.), and the configuration management tool Ansible.
- Experience as a leader in coordinating cross-functional teams and as a champion of consistency and task completion.
- Robust analytical skills for both existing processes and identifying areas of opportunity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience working with Agile development methodology.
