What we need We are looking for a Senior Controls Project Engineer to join the Project Engineering team within our Core Hardware Engineering organization. Your mission will be to guide new product development from concept through to large-scale production, specifically focusing on our Adapter Cells & Lift products. With a mindset that anything is possible and a determination for success, you'll be at the forefront of innovation.
What we do The Project Engineering team is part of the Core Hardware Engineering organization, which is responsible for the Mechanical, Structural, and Electrical Engineering of the Symbot and the Structure, System Layout, and Electrical Distribution Systems.
What you'll do
- A 'champion' of projects and products - Lead and partner with cross-functional peers to drive specification, efficiencies, and accountabilities.
- Support Project Managers in reviewing and refining PRD and SOW
- Define the scope, budget, and schedule baselines for the design engineering activities, based on approved PRD and SOW.
- Execute assigned new products on schedule, on budget while delivering on requirements.
- Communicate requirements, scope, schedule, and budget constraints to cross-functional design engineering teams.
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
What you'll need
- BS in Engineering or related discipline, Master's or Advanced Degree a plus
- 8+ years of related experience, with prior experience as a Scrum Master a plus
- Extensive experience working in a highly integrated electro-mechanical systems, mechatronics, or robotics product development team.
- Experience with industrial controls or PLC.
- Extensive experience managing project design activities, including feasibility studies, from project start until stable production.
- Demonstrated experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, showcasing a strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies. Certification in Agile/Scrum methodologies (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to understand complex technical issues and facilitate resolution. Ability to communicate well with internal and external technical audiences. Ability to triage issues based on priority, impact, risk, and release timing.
- Proficiencies in the following applications: JIRA, MS Project, Power Point, Excel, Word, and Visio
