What we need Symbotic is seeking a Senior Manager, Security Operations to join our Information Security team. Your job will be to manag e and lead a team of security engineers and analysts who implement and monitor security controls in multiple environments. Additionally, the Senior Manager, Security Operations is responsible for the monitoring of company networks and infrastructure, security support requests, and leading the investigation of security incidents.
What we do The Symbotic Information Security team leads the effort to manage information security risk. Our team assesses, designs, implements, and maintains security controls to ensure compliance with our organizations IT General controls framework. We maintain a secure environment that aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
What you'll do
- Manage and lead a team of security staff including hiring, setting priorities, coaching, reviewing work products, preparing personnel reviews, and providing periodic reporting of the security teams activities. Oversee and participate in On-Call rotation for system security issues.
- L ead the cyber security incident response and support processes and ensure that all security escalations are solved within management defined service levels.
- Maintain all installations of security related applications, security operations playbooks, incident response plans, processes, procedures, and equipment. Drive proactive monitoring and reporting for security controls and Identify opportunities to implement security automation.
- Manage vulnerability assessment processes and penetration testing activities and coordinate the remediation of vulnerabilities.
- Measure the effectiveness and performance of security operations controls through KPI metrics and identify methods to continuously enhance the security monitoring and incident response processes.
- Plan and develop security initiatives to increase security awareness and reduce risk.
- Up to 10% travel to customer sites.
What you'll need
- Minimum 12 years' experience and a B achelor's degree in Information Security or related field is preferred, but n o t requi r ed .
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in i nformation s ecurity leadership .
- Broad working knowledge of information systems .
- Certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, CISM preferred, but not required .
- Ability to prioritize projects.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- An understanding of best practices and how to implement them at a business-wide level.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems as they arise.
