What we need We are seeking a Warehouse Manager who is part of our Service Center of Excellence organization; you will lead a warehouse team responsible for all shipping / receiving activities and will ensure SAP transactions are being executed accurately and timely . This person will be a strong partner with external vendors, customer sites, and internal stakeholders to drive collaboration and resolve any material discrepancies including RMA returns.
What we do The Warehouse team within the Service Center of Excellence is responsible for service, repair, testing, evaluation, and field support. They manage shipping, receiving, and material handling for material in the Symbotic Wilmington location. They primarily focus is on supporting repair and service material needs to support customer service requirements. The warehouse team collaborates closely with other departments to support shipping/receiving needs and to ensure material movement transactions are accurate .
What you'll do
- Oversea the outbound shipment and picking request are properly executed in a timely manner .
- Ensure packaging materials and other consumable supplies are kept in stock.
- Responsible for the overall organization of all materials in our plant and warehouse(s).
- Lead the team who is responsible for verifying quantities and product descriptions of incoming and outgoing goods against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Ensure integrity of all SAP transactions, goods issue, returns, and inventory accuracy.
- Partner with key stakeholders to define and document material handoffs between functions.
- Schedule and oversee the warehouse team, managing the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency, manage PTO requests and other administrative tasks.
- Train and manage the warehouse team to resolve operational issues and achieve performance goals.
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment, including enforcing safety standards and procedures.
- Drive metrics to continually improve team performance and warehouse efficiency.
- Responsible to shape and adjust workflows based on business need.
- Support repair team with receipts, fulfillment, and accuracy of finished goods inventory as needed.
What you'll need
- Associate or bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in logistics , business, or supply chain management is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience warehouse supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Two (2) year of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control and logistics , materials handling, storage layout, and shipping and receiving.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated, self-starting individual with a willingness to learn
- Experience in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and Inventory Management (IM).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical skills; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Flexibility to work under pressure and in an environment where priorities change
Our Environment
- There will be steep stairs to climb into the structure. You may be required to routinely walk up and down stairs to navigate the automation structure.
- You will regularly be near railings that are high off the ground
- Subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.
- Frequent ability to safely and efficiently lift items weighing up to 50lbs and move items weighing up to 80lbs.
- Stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours and is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms
- The employee is routinely required to work at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches. Where you may need to be able to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be capable of occasional and/or continuous feeling, seeing, hearing, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, balancing, gripping, climbing, crawling, sitting, handling objects, and repetitive movement using both hands and feet. Must comply with all safety requirements and protocols, including without limitation Lock out tag out safety protocols and fall protection safety protocols
