Key Responsibilities:
As a vital member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Maintain meticulous control of our materials inventory, ensuring that production areas are always well-supplied with the resources they need to excel.
- Command a wide array of tools and machinery that are essential to your role, including forklifts, hand jacks, tape measures, calculators, computers, loading docks, cranes, scales, data collection equipment, radios, and even a copy machine. Your work environment is dynamic and diverse.
- Put your quality assurance skills to the test by meticulously verifying incoming material shipments, ensuring accuracy, and promptly identifying and addressing any defective materials.
Essential Functions:
Your role will encompass a range of responsibilities, including:
- Safely and efficiently operating an array of tools and equipment to manage materials, from forklifts to data collection equipment, loading docks, and more.
- Verifying incoming shipments to guarantee accuracy and assessing the quality of materials, acting promptly if any issues arise.
- Receiving and organizing materials in their designated locations, ensuring that everything is in its proper place.
- Conducting cycle and physical counts of all assigned materials, maintaining an up-to-date record of our inventory.
- Accurately documenting all shipments to production areas using computer systems, ensuring that information is processed in a timely manner.
- Executing daily tasks such as picking and delivering materials to specified production areas, manually placing items where needed, transferring materials between warehouses, and returning items to stock when necessary.
- Loading and unloading materials from trailers and trucks, contributing to the efficient flow of resources.
- Conducting daily equipment checks, including monitoring fluid levels and completing checklists.
- Carrying out your duties with safety, efficiency, and accuracy as your guiding principles, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with your team to produce top-quality products, where your role is fundamental to our shared success.
- Ensuring regular and timely attendance, exhibiting reliability and commitment to your role.
- Being open to mandatory overtime when the job demands it, proving your dedication to our mission.
- Prioritizing safety by maintaining the well-being of your colleagues working near moving vehicles.
