We are seeking a passionate technologist and proven architecture leader to join the Starbucks Technology leadership team and be a key member of our Starbucks Architecture and Engineering communities. You will lead the architecture practice that is accountable for shaping the next generation of solutions supporting critical consumer and retail products including Digital Commerce, Mobile Order and Pay, Marketing, Starbucks Rewards, and our Retail Commerce Platform.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
- Acts as chief architect for the assigned business and technical domains.
- Collaborate with architects to develop the business case ('why'), conceptual model and vision ('what'), logical model and other artifacts ('How') for multiple domains.
- Establish strong relationships and build effective partnerships global evolving technology teams.
- Create an inclusive team environment and enable team-based fulfillment of goals.
- Develop strategic, operational, and budgetary plans for the architecture organization.
Program Management
- Partner with Technology PMO, business, and technology to define strategy and execute global programs.
- Define and guide strategic technology transformation and change programs.
- Assesses the value and impact of concepts and emerging technologies.
Doman proficiency
- Demonstrate functional and business knowledge across multiple domains and enterprise context.
- Advise leaders within domains in defining priorities, key initiatives, and organizational alignment.
- Evaluate industry and technology trends, determine applicability to Starbucks and translate into Starbucks specific strategies, plans, models, principles, architectures, and design.
