Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Create consistent and accurate makeup looks as designed by the owners of our contracted IPs (Intellectual Property) for Fright Fest Characters through makeup and hair. This includes Characters from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the Saw franchise, Trick ‘r Treat, The Conjuring Universe, and Stranger Things. Looks must follow provided makeup charts to align with the films and tv shows.
· Create consistent and accurate makeup looks as designed by our in-park Creative Team for original haunt Characters. Looks must follow provided makeup charts to align with the original storyline.
· Utilize traditional techniques, as well as prosthetic application, Special FX artistry, airbrush techniques, and proper mask utilization to accomplish required looks.
· Create an average of 30 faces over a 2-hour timeframe nightly.
· Act as quality control for Character appearance and touch-up looks as needed, both in the field and dressing room, throughout the night.
· Communicate any Makeup or Hair needs to Costuming Supervisor.
Operate in a safe and efficient manner at all times while holding safety in the highest regard.
· Keep all areas clean, organized, and sanitary for all Guests and Team Members.
· Maintain professional standards in accordance with all Six Flags policies and procedures, as well as strict adherence to all instructions provided by Intellectual Properties owned by other companies being leased to Six Flags for this season.
· Complete all opening and closing procedures and checklists.
· Clock in/out from shifts as assigned by Supervisor, as well as taking designated break times.
· Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates must:
· Be available to work late afternoons/evenings on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during our Fright Fest season, which runs from September 13 – November 3, plus Monday, October 14, and the last three Thursdays: October 17, 24, 31. PLEASE NOTE: All dates and times are subject to change based on the park’s operational needs.
· Be punctual and have a good attendance record.
· Be able to work in all outdoor conditions for extended periods of time.
· Be able to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel, lift, push, and pull up to fifty pounds.
· Be professional, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and work well with others.
· Be able to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
· Maintain confidentiality and adhere to non-disclosure agreements, including cell phone and social media restrictions as per Intellectual Property owners and Six Flags policies.
· Have knowledge of and commit to sanitation and health standards of the Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation Cosmetology Board (however, a Cosmetology License is not required).
