Our candidate will Integrate, monitor and administer professional execution of all group sales and special events within park ancillary event space. They will collaborate with Sales Team once event contract is booked and scheduled to deliver seamless customer & client success. They will strategize and coordinate all park departments' involvement in third party group events. They will supervise all event logistics and operational matters for the park.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
·Manages event planning functions and staff of full time and part time team members on a daily basis.
·Works with Sales Team on the coordination of event once contracted, including key client pre-event meetings.
·Position oversees the administrative processes associated with the pre-event and post-event phases of an event and the associated transitions between all event phases.
·Ensures seamless turnover from sales to operations and back to sales while consistently delivering a high level of service.
·Manages, evaluates and troubleshoots events effectively; recommending and implementing adjustments to reduce park expenses and increase event revenue while maintaining high levels of guest experience satisfaction.
·Primary contact to for the park team for inquiries related to booked outing schedules and attendance projections.
·Maintains and develops the training of park event standard operating procedures used by Sales Team and client pitches.
·Communicates with key Directors, Account Managers & Executives on specific park variables that dictate event delivery
·Collaborates and provides recommendations, supervise and monitor the parks event workflow for all operational departments including Food and Beverage, Park Operations and Marketing partners to ensure successful events.
·Conducts physical inspections of all areas of the facility to ensure accurate event setup and safety for patrons.
·Researches client/tour information from other competitor facilities to gain insight and increase levels of service to clients, guests and promoters. Garners and maintains relationships with other facility event departments.
·Prepares and analyzes event space calendar & reports within events calendar program, event food and beverage counts and monitors revenue tracking provided by the Sales Teams.
·Schedules and conducts site surveys for future events and attend event related meetings.
·Generates event recap for each event noting items of importance in consideration for future events by compiling input from client feedback, promoters and senior park staff.
·Supports the company's core values and reflects a professional image.
·Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
·Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree a plus.
·3+ years' experience in the entertainment, food & beverage and / or hospitality industry working banquets, corporate private or special events.
·Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral format.
·Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills.
·Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
·Must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed (Nights/Weekends/Holidays). Weekends are a MUST.
