Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist department manager in planning, executing, and reaching department goals
- Assist in hiring and scheduling the right staff to fit our business needs
- Responsible for the professional development of all seasonal staff
- Ensuring all guests needs are being met for maximum guest satisfaction results
- Responsible for proper receiving of inventory and controlling expenses
- Responsible for tracking and operating within established labor and expense budgets
- Continually look for operating efficiencies and put in place effective measures to improve results
- maintain and continually improve location standard operating procedures
- Design and set up visual displays to maximize marketing opportunities
- Ensure all safety procedures are being implemented and followed by all team members and guests to ensure a safe environment
- Serve as a liaison to our revenue partners and ensure they adhere to Six Flags standards and financial performance
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned within division and park
- Reports to the Retail Manager, In Park Services Director, Park President
Skills and Qualifications:
- Three years of retail experience preferably in a theme park related setting
- Self-motivated individual willing to work in a fast paced environment with strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Outstanding leadership, team building, and motivational skills
- Excellent communication skills. The ability to provide clear, concise verbal and written communication.
- Good analytical skills to asses reports and trends
- A willingness to support park-wide initiatives, OSHA compliance and safety programs
- Ability to handle multiple situations simultaneously and meet deadlines in an efficient manner
- Strong computer skills needed for position. Microsoft Office, sales & inventory systems, etc.
- Retail inventory experience, store setup and floor set implementation preferred
- Visual merchandising experience preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or GED/equivalent
- Must have the ability to work up to 6 days a week including nights, weekends and holidays as business needs dictate.
- Valid & current driver’s license.
