Software Test Engineer
This is a software test engineering position where the ideal candidate would use their experience testing modeling and simulation software to support a developing government program. Applicants should be able to perform in a fast-paced work environment with solid communications skills. They will need to be able work individually and in a team. They will be expected to apply sound engineering principles, idependently complete assigned tasking, and meet schedule commitments.
Responsibilities:
This position requires that the software test engineer conduct or perform as follows:- System assessment and testing- Modeling, simulation and analysis in preparation for test events- Verification and validation of the models- Diagnose and report software defects and report-out on quality metrics.- Develop modeling and simulation requirements for enhancements to support systems engineering, integration and verification- Writing automated test suites- Collaboration with cross-functional team members to define effective testing solutions and produce high-quality features.- Contribute to the design of the next generation of modeling and simulation engineering solutions
Requirements:
-6 or more years of relevant software development and/or software testing experience.-6 or more years of experience in developing in both Windows and LINUX operating systems.-More than 5 years experience with C/C++ and JAVA programing.-More than 3 years experience with Model-Based Design (MIL, SIL, or HIL).-More than 3 years experience with Real-Time Systems Design and Development.-Understanding and experience with embedded control, Navigation, and Guidance or Perception.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
-Experience integrating modeling and simulation software with hardware.-Experience with DevOps or DevSecOps engineering.-Experience with Python programming.-Experience with Robot Operating System (ROS).
Education: A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline is required
Clearance: A Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.
The projected annual compensation range for this position is $99,000 - $135,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
