CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
As a key member of the Enterprise Reporting & Controls Cost Accounting team this position is responsible for establishing and maintaining raw material costs within our plant environments and, any related month-end close processes for the North America sites. This position is also responsible for assisting in our global variance allocation to the commercial divisions as well as various material related monthly reporting.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining raw material costs at the North America plants
- Monthly calculation of the Standard Actual Cost for North America sites used by the commercial teams to understand current pricing on their products.
- Assist in review and development of annual raw material standard costs.
- Regular monthly reporting to management on various aspects of material pricing and variances.
- Various month end close entries and analyses.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist the FG Cost Accounting Team on cost quotes, reformulations, and replacements with accurate and timely raw material cost input.
- Tracking, review, and analysis of raw material purchase price variance.
- Support the accounting for material variance pass-through to other divisions.
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with a focus in accounting or finance.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 2+ years of accounting experience.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Access Database.
Preferred:
- Experience with Standard Cost development.
- Manufacturing environment experience.
- Working knowledge of Operational Order Mgtm Systems, Accounts Payable and/or Billing systems.
TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access Database.
- Experience with OneStream
Preferred:
- Experience with Standard Cost methodology
- Experience with Oracle Cloud, Oracle R12 or 11i, QAD, Product Vision, AOM, Monarch, Business Objects.
- Experience with developing monthly reporting and variance review.
