Safety
- Uses safe process techniques and good housekeeping
- Follows ITM’s and safety guidelines
- Wears proper PPE
- Attends all safety meetings or takes the make-up test
- Sustains 5S
R&D Development
- Building knowledge of formulations and process steps
- Operates pilot plant equipment
- Leads BTC scale-up/pilots of new formulas
- Works with the team to troubleshoot formulas
- Helps the team overcome potential obstacles to meet customer time lines
Production
- Travels to plants for new product scale-ups or existing product troubleshooting
- Coordinates trial batches and or regular production batches at plants
- Investigates and resolves plant issues
- Works with SW Purchasing and Raw Material vendors
Quality
- May work with the team on quality investigations and help resolve issues
Leadership
- Gives ideas and suggestions to other engineers, groups
- Works with supervision
- Is learning the company culture and organization and who to go to for technical help
EDUCATION:
Required:
- Bachelor Degree Required. BS Engineering or equivalent experience
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 0+ years experience required.
Preferred:
- Good leadership skills, relationship building, and decision making ability
- Good interpersonal, organizational and project management skills
Upon completion of construction, the individual selected for this role will primarily work at the new Sherwin-Williams Global Technology Center in Brecksville, Ohio. Construction is expected to be complete in Q4 2024. Until then, the role will be based at Breen Technology Center, located at 601 Canal Road, Cleveland, OH 44113.
