1. Provide individual, couple, and group therapy when appropriate.
2. Accompany officers in the field to provide on-site support.
3. Providing initial and follow-up debriefing to personnel involved in critical incident response.
4. Providing resiliency training on psychological and stress management, officer wellness, critical incidents, suicide awareness and prevention for first responders.
5. Provide psychoeducational services to officers to build symptom awareness for mental illness, substance use, and suicidality.
6. Documentation of services in client records management database/electronic health records system, ensuring confidentiality of client information
7. Consulting and collaborating with staff, management, and health care professionals about matters related to mental health.
8. Potentially supervise staff or interns

• 2 - 5 years: Master’s level clinician licensed in the state of Illinois (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT). PsyD, PhD, or postdoctoral associate preferred. Minimum of two years’ therapy experience providing an array of therapeutic approaches: CBT, EMDR, exposure therapy. Previous experience and/or competency providing trauma-informed care to first responders and their families. Willingness to receive further training in this specialty.
