Overview:
The Same Day Surgery nurses ensure every patient is as prepared for their surgery as they can be. Our nurses are experienced in providing excellent care in a calm and friendly environment. We specialize in providing superior care to all patients. Multiple Surgical services are offered including: Women's and Childrens, Orthopedics, Urology, Ear,Nose and Throat, Cardiac, Neuro, Bariatric, Colo-Rectal, Breast and General Surgery.
Responsibilities:
RN essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- Collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data, establishing goals, planning care strategy.
- Establishing priorities of care, implementing care, delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care.
- Evaluating responses to interventions, and performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.
Qualifications:
Education
- Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience in healthcare field preferred.
(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).
Schedule
- Monday-Friday 0530-1600, 4, 10 hour shifts per week.
- Plus call.
Licensure / Certification
- Current unrestricted Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
Other Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
Compensation / Benefits
- $24.75-$40.42/hr based on previous work experience.
- Evening shift differential $2.50
- Night differential $3.00/hr.
- Weekend differential $3.00/hr.
