Overview:
Compensation / Benefits
- $27.84-$45.46/hr. based on previous work experience.
- Evening differential $2.50/hr.
- Night differential $3.00/hr.
- Weekend differential $3.00/hr.

The PACU at the HealthPlex ensures every patient is recovered in a safe and calm environment. Our healers are experienced in providing excellent care in a friendly environment. We specialize in providing superior care to all patients. The healers in PACU are engaged in the patients well being not only while in recovery, but throughout their stay in the Health System. The patients are well taken care of while in PACU, but so are our co-workers. The healers of PACU considered themselves a family, and never leave each other in a bind. We practice under the ASPAN principles. Surgical services offered at the Healthplex campus include: Women's and Childrens, Orthopedics, Urology, Ear,Nose and Throat, Cardiac and General Surgery.
Responsibilities:
RN essential functions include, but are not limited to:
- collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data, establishing goals, planning care strategy,
- establishing priorities of care, implementing care, delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care,evaluating responses to interventions, and performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.
- The PACU RN primarily provides care for pediatric to geriatric patients who have completed their anesthesia and are in the immediate post anesthesia (phase I) period.
- Their role includes transitioning the patient to phase II, the inpatient, or intensive care setting for continued care.
- Basic life-sustaining needs are of the highest priority, and constant vigilance is required in this phase.
Qualifications:
Education
- Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience in healthcare preferred.
(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).
Licensure / Certification
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license or active Multistate RN license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
- New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
