Job Summary and QualificationsJob Summary
Responsible for providing high quality pre-hospital advanced life support including assessment, triage, and treatment utilizing standards and guidelines established by HCA Healthcare North Carolina MAMA Medical Director(s). The Flight Paramedic be responsible for carrying out the mission HCA Healthcare North Carolina MAMA and goals of assuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the transport continuum.
RequirementsBachelors of Science in Nursing or enroll in BSN or advanced degree program within 6 months and obtain BSN within 4 years of hire date into RN position.
Minimum 5 years full time critical care experience in Level 2 Trauma Center Emergency Department or ICU
Maintains current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing, eNLC (Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON. Maintain BCLS, ACLS, PALS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, and advance provider ITLS or PHTLS 6
Maintain 1 of the following ATLS, ATLS audits, ATCN, TNCC or TPACT (provided course offerings upon hire to complete)
Maintain CCRN or CEN
Will obtain CFRN within 18 months of hire date. Once CFRN obtained will replace need for CCRN/CEN
Must have a valid NC driver’s license
Maintain FEMA 100,200, 700, & 800 12
Must attend 80% of monthly scheduled team meetings
Preferences:
Masters in Nursing
Previous medical transport experience preferred
