Responsibilities:JOB SUMMARY:
The Electronics and Instrumentation Technician will safely and efficiently maintain, troubleshoot issues with and work to improve the electrical subsystems within the production facility.
This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability.

EDUCATION:
2 year certification from college or technical school or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience in Instrumentation Technology
EXPERIENCE:
Three years strong industrial electrical background in a manufacturing environment (Food Processing Plant preferred). Experience in mechanical systems, welding and pneumatics helpful.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as electrical schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations and procedure manuals in English.
Ability to write routine reports, procedural manuals and correspondence in English.
Ability to effectively present information in both one-on-one and group situations. Ability to respond to questions from internal/external customers/vendors at all levels including the management.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, fractions, ratios. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Electrical Apprentice or Journeyman’s license preferred (but not required).
