Overview:The Flow Coordinator works under the direction of the Director of Emergency Services to facilitate patient flow within the department. He/she is responsible for actively monitoring patient arrival and coordinating patient flow through the various stages of surgical care ensuring the Mercy experience for all served. This role shall be consistent with the established guidelines of practice, the goals of Mercy Health System, the philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, The Missouri Nurse Practice Act, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics and the Employee Code of Conduct.
Qualifications:
- Experience: One year ED experience
- Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
- License: current RN license in our state or compact state
- Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association. CEN Preferred
- Other: Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Abililty to demonstrate clinical expertise in area of Perioperative surgical care. Demonstrate skill in interpersonal relations and communications.
