We are seeking a Transplant Services Dietician for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? Our Clinical Dietitians are responsible for coordinating patient nutritional care under the general supervision of the Director of Transplant Services and collaborate as a member of the interdisciplinary solid organ transplant team to provide the patients high quality medical nutrition therapy.  The commitment to service, safety and professionalism is critical to achieving the best experience for our patients. What you will do in this role:

• Provide evaluation on all kidney, pancreas and heart patients under consideration for transplantation.

• Provide evaluation on all Advanced Heart Failure patients under consideration for Left Ventricular Device Implantation.
• Participate in all CMS requirements as stipulated to insure program retains certification for transplantation.
• Identify patients at nutritional risk based on established criteria.
• Evaluate age specific, developmental and disease specific nutritional needs of patients.
• Develop and implement the nutritional care plan.
• Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness and outcomes of medical nutrition therapy interventions.
• Provide nutrition education to patients and family.

 What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor's Degree Graduate of an accredited program in nutrition or dietetics
• Current, validated registration as Dietitian with The Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association or registry eligible
• Commission Dietetic Registration must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Licensed by The Texas Department of State Health Services
• Licensed Dietician must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Two years of transplant experience or hospital experience preferred
• Diabetic Education Certificate preferred
• Adult Weight Loss Program Certificate preferred
