Job Summary and Qualifications
What You Will Do In This Role:
- Assists with OR Team to deliver professional care to all patients in an O.R. setting; follows standard of care process for care delivery; maintains accountability for professional decisions & actions; assists manager in planning, organizing, directing and coordinating the clinical activities of robotic specialty.
- Responsible with assisting with OR Team, delivery of professional care for assigned patients; participates in coordination of care with OR Management staff, physicians, department professional, and ancillary staff & services.
- Assists with OR Management, staff capabilities, patient acuity, and schedule needs in order to make assignments, facilitates good working relationships of staff, physicians and other health team members; serves as resource/preceptor in assigned specialty for other staff; nurtures relationship with surgeons within specialty; assesses new equipment/supplies; collaborates with OR Manager in budget process.
- Working with the Service Line Supervisors and OR Manager, coordinates vendor access, staff training to new products, staff training to new equipment and management of service equipment as assigned.
- Coordinates with Materials Management staff in setting and monitoring Par Levels of supplies associated with service(s) assigned. Working with Service Line Coordinator, OR Manager and Materials Management personnel promotes accurate physician preference cards revising as needed and identifying deletions or changes for new product.
- Transports and handles non- controlled medications, receives and hands off controlled and non-controlled medications to physicians from the sterile field.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited educational program for Surgical Technologist and current CST or completion of an appropriate training program for Surgical Technology in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard of the United States or in the United States Public Health Service or employed to practice Surgical Technology in a healthcare facility prior to September 1, 2009 required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a scrub technician in a hospital environment and 2 years Robotic experience.
- Current AHA or ARC BLS provider.
