Packaging Technician - Direct Hire, Plymouth, MN 1st shift: 5am-3:15pm, M-Thu 2nd shift: 3pm-1:15am, M-Thu 3rd shift: 9pm-7:15am, M-Thu Pay Rate: $22.00-$24.00 (depending on the shift) About Us: We are a leading player in the pharmaceutical industry, dedicated to producing high-quality products that improve lives. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Packaging Technician to join our dynamic team in a permanent role. Responsibilities: As a Packaging Technician, you will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the seamless operation of various packaging equipment. Your responsibilities include: • Equipment Operation: Independently monitor, operate, and fine-tune diverse packaging equipment across multiple areas in adherence to batch record procedures. • Setup and Cleaning: Independently set up and clean various packaging equipment following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and cGMP regulations. • Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary production packaging paperwork, including cleaning logs, batch records, and verification of batch numbers, expiration dates, and material numbers. Calculate product acceptance or rejection to comply with FDA regulations. • Training: Contribute to the training of new and current packaging personnel on SOPs, batch records, equipment, and processes. • Machine Qualifications: Take responsibility for maintaining machine qualifications and observe manufacturing packaging personnel on equipment and processes, as outlined in the written Training Plan. • Safety Awareness: Monitor work areas for safety hazards, strictly adhere to personal protective equipment requirements, and champion safety protocols outlined in the Safety Program and SOPs. • Compliance: Read and understand cGMPs and SOPs to ensure all activities align with industry regulations. • Material Changeovers: Efficiently change packaging materials, including labels, inserts, foil, PVC, etc. • Troubleshooting: Quickly and efficiently troubleshoot minor equipment problems, ensuring minimal loss of production. • Material Preparation: Obtain and set up all packaging materials and required paperwork. • Leadership: Oversee and guide less experienced packaging employees working on the line. Education and Experience: • A High School diploma or equivalent is required. • Minimum of 1 year of machine operating experience in a packaging or manufacturing environment OR 1 year of automotive or mechanical maintenance experience.
