Our client, a leader in process control, is seeking a Senior Planner to join their team. As a Senior Planner, you will be part of the planning department supporting the production team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, an aptitude for technical product configuration, and the ability to adapt to ever-changing schedules.
Job Title: Senior Planner
Location: Milpitas, CA
Pay Range: Up to $48 per hour
What's the Job?
- Works with other planners to co-ordinate the allocation of materials and plan for future periods as well as to review the current plan.
- Coordinates closely and continually with other planners to update the schedule in accordance with changes to the forecast, changes to tool configurations, inventory, and labor availability, etc.
- Incorporates ECN changes into existing work orders.
- Passes information identified as BOM issues to Mfg Engineering and follows through to make sure an ECN is created to resolve those issues.
- Communicates production plan changes and potential work stoppage issues. Proactively initiates solutions to scheduling, material and manufacturing challenges. Notifies purchasing staff when shortages need to be expedited.
- Creates and releases Production Orders to all the sub assembly areas. Expedites and processes production order receipts into stock.
- Generates, communicates, utilizes key performance data relating to schedule commit dates, activity levels, material status, and documentation accuracy to relevant managers.
What's Needed?
- BS/BS in Supply Chain Mgmt. or related field.
- At least five years of related planning experience in a low volume, high value, custom configured capital equipment manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, standard business practices, and production scheduling methodology.
- An aptitude for technical product configuration, dates, numbers and attention to detail.
- Strong tolerance of ever-changing schedules, frequent reprioritization.
