Levindale Hospital is looking for a part-time Phlebotomy Technician to work on Weekends and 1 Weekday from 5am-1pm. 

Position Summary:

Under direct supervision, performs phlebotomy procedures to obtain and prepare blood specimens for analysis. Processes phlebotomy paperwork and tabulates data. Performs various clerical functions.

Essential Functions: Phlebotomy Performs phlebotomy procedures on inpatients and outpatients in all age groups to obtain blood specimens according to established aseptic techniques.

Qualifications/Requirements Entry level knowledge; basic employment skills; High School diploma: GED equivalent or High School certificate

• Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) ASCP Registered Or equivalent preferred
• Demonstrates the ability to follow verbal instructions.
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively verbally.
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in writing.
• Exerts up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently to move objects.
• At least 2 full years of experience drawing and processing specimens 
• EKG experience preferred

Other - Moderate amount of walking and standing to a significant degree, with some reaching and stooping. Requires a high degree of manual dexterity. Potential for vision strain when using CRT.
