Levindale’s Households, skilled Long term care units are looking for a Charge Nurse III. This position will act as the unit Manager’s right hand.
Hours will be Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm or 8:00am-4:30pm, and weekends off!
About the Households/ Long term Care Unit:
Provides long-term care for patients. Households are comprised of six units with 14 private bedrooms in each. Each household unit has a central kitchen where a hostess can cook for the patients daily, den with books and a large-screen television, and a washer and dryer so that staff can wash residents’ clothing separately. HH 5-6 are for patients that may be suffering from dementia or reduced cognitive abilities; due to this staff members must badge-in and badge-out to prevent patients from exiting the units. Staff members must be able to recognize an individual’s likes, dislikes, routines and needs and deliver care based on that information.
Position Summary:
Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care, and functions as advisor, resource, and leader for other members of the patient care team.
The Charge Nurse RN III must meet all clinical ladder requirements of the RN I, RN II and RN III.
Essential Functions:
Meets all key function of the RN by providing and demonstrating clinical expertise in the appropriate timeframe using the nursing process assuring standards of care are met.

Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years
college); requires knowledge of a specialized field.
