The Maritime Solution Systems Portfolio (MSS) within the Maritime Systems Division (MSD) is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly capable Engineer Operations Manager to join the Leidos team in Lynnwood, WA to support a multidisciplined team in the execution of a variety of maritime projects including undersea vehicles, optical system design, subsea acoustic arrays, and at-sea installation and repair efforts. The scope of the business activities within this portfolio includes: underwater vehicle systems, maritime sensors, supporting information technology & engineering services for complex maritime applications, development and support of underwater data acquisition and telemetry systems for distributed sensors for ISR, IPOE, SSW and platform signature measurement.

The Engineering Operations Manager will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership across the Maritime System Solutions Portfolio of programs, coordinating a team of senior engineering managers and their staff in the successful proposal and execution of complex maritime programs. The Engineering Operations Manager shall lead the implementation of technical solutions across multiple types of maritime programs for Department of Defense agencies, from autonomous vehicles to deployed subsea systems. In this role, the Engineering Operations Manager will create, grow, and coordinate the overall engineering department within the Portfolio and be responsible for coordinating, planning, and ensuring execution of aspects of engineering, including Mechanical, Electrical, Software/Firmware, Controls, and T&E.
Job duties will also include yearly reviews, pay cycle evaluations, technical leadership, procedure review/modification/updating, mentoring, job guidance, seeking HR support when needed, organizing and coordinating project duties with Program Managers, coordinating work between Leidos organizations, supporting the overall employees career progression. Leader will coordinate with HR and senior management on have hiring, discipline, firing, promoting authority. Leader will be responsible to lead and support employees in their position, requesting support from senior management as needed, employee growth with the company and mission as desired, and addressing performance issues if necessary.

Significant experience supporting capture activities to include chairing/participating in Gate Reviews, generating BOE’s, writing technical volumes for proposals, and providing preliminary technical guidance for solutions.

Pay Range:Pay Range $144,300.00 - $260,850.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
