Leidos' Health & Civil Sector has an exciting and challenging opportunity to join the Sector Financial Planning and Analysis team. We are seeking an exceptional candidate to fill our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Senior Analyst position. This role will oversee the financial forecasting and monthly tracking to achieve revenue commitments over $4.4B for FY24. This high visibility position reports directly to the Director of FP&A and requires active collaboration with team of Business Area FP&A professionals as well as Corporate professionals in the areas of Balance Sheet, Disclosure Statements, Rates, P&L, Forecasting and others as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FP&A and Program Finance with the ability to work independently and proactively, complete detailed general ledger and balance sheet research and be comfortable in executive level briefings.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and drive monthly and annual forecasting and reporting for P&L, Balance sheet, & New Business Metrics with a continuous focus on improved accuracy.
- Manage the Pre-Close cycle to ensure accuracy in the close numbers and escalation of issues before the period closes.
- Manage the month-end close process and perform variance/trend analyses against AOP & Forecast; communicate monthly results to leadership
- Coordinate Quarterly Financial Status Reviews and provide thoughtful analyses on program-level estimate at completes.
- Manage Risk and Opportunities, including appropriate classification and communication to Business Area/Sector leadership
- Prepare monthly and quarterly review packages (Close, MORs, MFRs, QBRs)
- Communicate key business insights and recommendations to achieve the Sector’s current and future goals and make specific recommendations which will result in cost reduction and profit/process
- Perform business case and ROI analysis
- Drive innovation and automation through process improvement efforts
- Consistent special projects/analysis on high priority topics
- Partner with government compliance teams to overcome Sector-specific challenges, developing mutually beneficial, auditable solutions within the framework of Leidos policies and procedures while actively maintaining compliance with contract specific exceptions and approved accounting changes.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience in finance operations and/or program finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and in Oracle Reporting Tools (OAC)
- Experience in project analysis and management, financial analysis, financial reporting and forecasting, accounting, amortization, balance sheet accounting and budgeting
- Demonstrate the highest standards of accuracy and precision in work products.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to clearly articulate and respond to requests for data.
- Experience in working with and applying industry practices, principles, concepts, techniques, and standards.
- US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of Leidos policies, procedures, and business architecture
- Proficiency in Leidos Financial Planning and Reporting systems (Insight) & Power BI
- Indirect Rate Planning and Indirect Spend Management
Pay Range:Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
