The National Security Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a
Project Analyst , assisting the AN/SQQ-89(V) Alterations & Installations Manager (AITM), to work at our customer site on Naval Air Station Oceana, Dam Neck Annex, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Surface Sonar mission. In this mission, Leidos provides engineering and technical support for the United States Navy’s Undersea Warfare (USW) Systems. Specific systems include the AN/SQQ-89(V) system and associated equipment.
Primary Responsibilities
The AITM Assistant is responsible for providing installation team planning to include:
Track tasking and execution
Assisting the AITM with coordination of team meetings to address issues and concerns during execution; coordinate efforts for concurrent and future installations; resolve installation issues; and communicate concerns back to the Program Office and production POCs.
Drafting and coordinating Installation Readiness Reviews (IRRs), and other related Program Office interaction meetings.
Assist Ship Change Document (SCD) development and submission.
Provide Engineering Change (EC) planning and scheduling for installation.
Preparing/coordinating Risk Acceptance for installations in support of Continuous Maintenance Availabilities (CMAV) and Selected Restricted Availabilities (SRA)
Documenting combat system modernization requirements (SCD, Ordinance Alterations (ORDALT), Ship Alterations (SHIPALT), Field Change, ECP, Software Delivery, Computer Program, etc.) for ship availability periods through analysis of data derived from the Navy Data Environment (NDE).
Entering alterations and scheduling data into NDE and maintaining the baseline in Afloat Master Planning System. Input risk forms and electronic Target Configuration Date forms into NDE workflow.
Working with PEO IWS 5.0, the technical and logistics communities and private industry to document and assist with meeting the modernization execution requirements of select special projects including Temporary Alterations (TEMPALTs) and test system alterations installed outside of scheduled availabilities.
This effort also includes temporary installation of equipment onboard test and evaluation platforms.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Relevant experience may substituted in lieu of a degree.
4+ years of professional experience in planning for shipboard and/or Navy modernization for any Combat System
Experienced in planning and executing installations, including knowledge of surface ship installation requirements and applicable standards.
Understanding of the requirements process, the installation process, Technical Data Packages and Ship Installation Drawings, and other technical data.
Ability to formulate and present findings, briefings, project papers, status reports, and correspondence to foster understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations.
Experience working with Navy Data Environment (NDE).
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work load in a dynamic environment, and interact with a wide range of personalities and diverse outside organization.
Ability to plan and coordinate individual assignments to meet project goals.
Ability to utilize Microsoft Office 365 Products to perform required technical lead functions.
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Clearance Requirement: Must have active DoD Secret security clearance and ability to maintain Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to read and apply principles from Technical Data Packages, engineering change documents, configuration/maintenance plans, Installation Control Drawings, and Ship Installation Drawings
Experience in NMP-MOM business practices and standards.
Experience with requirements as stated in Navy Technical specifications such as Technical Specification 9090.310(series) (Alteration to Ships Accomplished by Alteration Installation Teams).
Experience working with SQQ-89, Shipboard ASW System and/or other major shipboard systems.
Experience in planning for shipboard modernization in Fleet concentration areas and various shipyards.
Ability to obtain and maintain passport.
