The National Security Sector at Leidos is hiring for a Special Security Technician to join our team supporting a U.S. federal government intelligence agency. This role involves working closely with analysts to manage the compartmented programs for DOD. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, professionalism, and be motivated to support the warfighter. This position is contingent upon contract award.
What you’ll be doing:
- Address Compartmented Access Program (CAP) requests for access, eligibility verifications, billeted/bigoted compartment coordination, indoctrination briefings, and one-time read-ins.
- Maintain detailed CAP billet management system, tracking all names, positions, and organizations for each billeted compartment for DIA, Joint Chief of Staff (JCS), and Office of Secretary of Defense OSD personnel.
- Inspect and approve Compartmented Areas in accordance with security guidelines.
- Other duties may include, but not limited to: audits of classified material; researching and preparing classified material-related policy and management recommendations, reports and recommendations.
What does Leidos need from me?
- Must have an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Minimum eight years of experience relevant to intelligence management, with at least a portion of the experience within the last two years.
- Experience in applying IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to work semi-independently with oversight and direction.
- Demonstrated ability to use logic when evaluating and synthesizing multiple sources of information.
- Demonstrated understanding of interpreting analysis to include, but not limited to, its meaning, importance, and implications.
- Demonstrated ability to process reports, documents, assessments, studies, and briefing materials in formats including Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), electronic / soft copy matrices and / or web-enabled formats.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues clearly in a concise and organized manner both verbally and non-verbally; with strong grammar skills.
- Demonstrated ability to recognize nuances and resolve contradictions and inconsistencies in information.
- Knowledge of structured research including, but not limited to, obtaining, evaluating, organizing, and maintaining information within security and data protocols.
- Understanding of intelligence collection capabilities and limitations, to include but not limited to, technical sensors / platforms and human intelligence sources related to the labor category.
Favorable if you have:
- Experience in all-source intelligence analysis, collection management, or intelligence operations.
- Experience in Compartmented Access Program.
- In-depth knowledge and demonstrable experience with the intelligence production cycle, executive intelligence production, and data science and related technologies.
- Experience with HUMINT, MASINT, SIGINT, GEOINT, and OSINT.
- Bachelor’s degree in an area related to intelligence management from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- An additional four years of experience in intel management, for a total of 12 years of experience in the specific labor category, may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Pay Range:Pay Range $78,000.00 - $141,000.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
