Make a difference in national security as a program analyst within the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Defense Programs’ Office of International Programs in Washington, DC. This office supports international collaboration under Mutual Defense Agreements (MDAs) and advises on export control issues.
This is a full-time position onsite at the customer site in Washington DC. Some travel is required both domestically and internationally (up to ~25%). Some teleworking may be authorized after onboarding.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support ongoing programmatic activities related to cooperation under Mutual Defense Agreements with U.S. strategic allies and the NNSA National laboratories.
- Maintain continuous close liaison with NNSA Headquarters personnel, NNSA sites, various offices in the DoD, applicable foreign embassies (Washington), and foreign counterparts.
- Facilitate and participate in international technical exchanges.
- Assist with classified document preparation and handling; transmit classified files as required.
- Coordinate logistics and meeting details with foreign counterparts and lab personnel.
- Assist with the maintenance and updating of procedures for the process of transmitting information between countries.
- Manage all recordkeeping requirements.
- Advise on matters relating to export control determinations and function as a subject matter expert on NNSA Policy 476.1, Atomic Energy Act Control of Import and Export Activities
- Provide guidance relevant to export control regulations; determine the applicability of these regulations to technical publications.
- Develop and implement export control procedures; develop processes to create efficiencies for the review and approval of export control requests
- Develop and maintain an action tracking system.
- Lead internal training sessions on NNSA Policy 476.1.
- Review documents for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
Required Education, Experience & Clearance:
- Active DOE Q or Active DOD Top Secret clearance with recent investigation
- Bachelor of Science, International Affairs/Foreign Affairs or similar field with 4+ years of relevant experience OR a Master of Science, International Affairs or similar field with 2+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain/maintain derivative classification authority and classify documents.
- Direct experience working with NNSA laboratories, plants, and sites.

Pay Range:Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
