Leidos is seeking a Systems Engineering Lead for a large Defense Intelligence program chartered to support the Analysis Orchestration Services in providing governance, integration, deployment, and operations and sustainment of the current suite of services and future integrated capabilities. Our customer provides strategic intelligence, warfighter support, indications and warning, safety of navigation, foundation data, humanitarian and disaster relief, special event planning, and homeland defense.
The Systems Engineering Lead will lead the engineering teams, for a large government contract task order, in taking a multi-discipline approach to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across the Task Order. Specific activities include:
Analyze user's requirements, concepts of operations documents, and high-level architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
Analyze requirements and leads design and development activities o Negotiates scope and resolves challenges via planning adjustments.
Provides visibility into progress and impediments.
Facilitates Task Order level processes and execution.
Facilitates problem-solving to manage risk, remove impediments, drive program-level continuous improvement, validate system characteristics, properties and behaviors, and enable early feedback.
Assist users in formulating and refining requirements.
Advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.
Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
Develop product architecture and product design documentation.
Guide product development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of engineering management plans and integration and test plans.
At the Task Order level, interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the System Engineering area of responsibility.
Organization and execution of product reviews within a multi-contractor program.
Support the enterprise RFC Process.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or STEM related field, or equivalent SME level work experience as a Systems Engineering Lead.
7+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer on a similar type of Government effort.
Demonstrated ability to research and solve complex problems.
Proven written and oral communications skills targeted at all levels of an organization.
Strategic planning, looking ahead to the retirement and future posture of capabilities and driving progress in that direction.
Security Clearance:
An active TS/SCI.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Expert System Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification.
Working experience engineering solutions using Automation, Augmentation and Artificial Intelligence technologies.
Demonstrated knowledge of the upstream and downstream processing of government and commercial imaging systems.
Previous IC or DoD program/project work experience.

Pay Range:Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
